We don't have a town-by-town build year on file for each of the places we run calls to, so we won't pretend to. What we do know is the shape of the housing stock across this whole service area: homes went up mostly between 1938 and 2004, with the bulk of that work concentrated in the 1960s and 70s, spread across 53 named communities in the region. That matters more than it sounds like it should. A door built for a 1965 two-car garage is not the same animal as one installed in a house from 2000, and the hardware underneath tells you which decade you're standing in before you even open the panel.
We list the towns below by how far they sit from our shop in Harrisburg, starting with Wormleysburg and Lemoyne at 2 miles and running out to Hershey and Monroe at 13. Uptown, just a mile northwest, is the closest stop on the list. If your town built up earlier in that 1938-2004 window, expect older torsion hardware and heavier steel sections; if it built up later, expect lighter rolled doors and openers with more electronics to go wrong. Either way, the fix starts with knowing which era you're dealing with, not guessing.
